Not defaulter but on defaulters list

Posted on 22 July 2008 by Name Withheld

I had applied for a car loan in the month of October (2007) from HDFC Bank and it was approved. But, at that time, the HDFC Bank executive told me that my name shows in the defaulter’s list as Richa. One of my cousins has the same name.

When I applied for a personal loan from Barclays Bank, they rejected it, stating the same reason. I am sure my cousin never took the loan or ever used any kind of proof from my end of such a thing. What do I do?

Contact on the numbers provided on the website given below. Verify your details with them and check if your name reflects there. If yes, get the exact details. If you get to know that your name is not reflecting in the database then you can go to the bank and let them know.

Curently with the current market condition before you buy a new car also look at the option of second hand cars since their markets have dipped dramatically.

If your personal loan application got rejected you are well with the rights ask your credit report. After getting the report you would get the good idea what is the actual problem. Then you can steps appropriately.
