United India Health Insurance
Health Insurance basically covers the hospitalization expenses and is available in two variants - Individual health policy and Family floater policy. Individual health policy covers each individual with separate sum insured and in family floater policy whole family gets covered under one policy with common sum insured. Health insurance policy is the one year contract with the insurance company, so the policyholder needs to renew it every year to continue the policy. United India health insurance policies are available as individual, family floater and senior citizen. It has Top up and Super Top up policy which is additional policy to existing health insurance policy.
United India Health Insurance products:
- Family Medicare: Family Medicare is the Health Insurance policy which covers the hospitalization expenses. Some of the key features of the policy are: Sub-limits on disease, room rent sub-limits of 1% of sum insured and if admitted in ICU then limit is up to 2% of sum insured, pre-hospitalization cover up to 30 days and post-hospitalization cover up to 60 days, pre-existing disease gets covered after 4 years, no-claim discount up to 3% for three continuous claim-free years subject to maximum 15%, loading in premium if three or more claims are lodged during the two immediately preceding policy year.
- Senior Citizen Health Insurance Policy: This Health Policy is designed for the senior citizen and the entry age for this policy is 61 years to 80 years and the sum insured available from 1 Lac to 3 Lacs. This policy covers hospitalization expenses and some of the key features of the Senior Citizen policy are: Room rent sub-limits of 1% of sum insured and for ICU it is 2% of sum insured, disease sub-limits, co-payments of 20% of the claim amount, pre-hospitalization cover up to 30 days and post hospitalization cover up to 60 days, pre-existing disease get covered after 4 years and Family discount up to 5% of the total premium.
- Super Top Up Medicare Policy: Super Top up policy is additional policy to existing health insurance policy which covers the hospitalization expenses. Policyholder gets reimbursed under Super Top Up plans if accumulated bill amount for the year, exceeds the basic health policy or deductible amount. Buying Super Top up policy to existing health policy is cheaper than taking one high sum insured policy. Some of the key features of the United India Super Top up policy are persons eligible from 18 years to 80 years and children above the age of 18 years will ceased to be covered under family floater option, sum insured available from 3 Lacs to 15 Lacs with variable deductible option and pre-existing disease get covered after 4 years.
- Top Up Medicare Policy: Like Super Top up policy, United India Top up policy is additional policy to existing health policy and it covers the hospitalization expenses. Policyholder gets reimbursed under Top up Medicare policy if the one time claim amount is exceeds the basic health policy cover or deductible amount. Buying Top up policy to existing health policy is cheaper than buying one high sum insured health policy. Some of the key features of the United India Top up plans are: Top up policy is available for individual and family floater, children above the age of 18 years will ceased to be covered under family floater option, sum insured options available from 3 Lac to 15 Lac with various deductible options.
General Exclusions: 1. Within 30 days of inception of the policy except those that are incurred as a result of accident. 2. Nuclear weapons or radiation. 3. Experimental and unproven treatment. 4. Non Allopathic Treatment. 5. Any sexually trassmitted disease. 6. Suicide or self injury 7. Alcohol or drug abuse 8. Pregnancy or birth related expenses
