Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) is eying the non-life insurance business. A dominant player in life and health insurance business, it is shifting focus.
Targets have been allotted to the south central zone in India. The states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka which are a major part of this region have a target to sell 75 lakh policies this year in 2008. 60 per cent of the set target has already been met with.
