Life Insurance holds more than FIIs

Domestic Institutional Investors like the insurance companies are increasing their volumes in the Indian stock markets. This was possible because the Financial Institutional Investors (FIIs) are slowing down on their holds.

Domestic institutional investors such as the insurance companies are increasing their volumes in the Indian stock markets. This was possible because the Financial Institutional Investors (FIIs) are slowing down on their holds.

A few domestic institutional investors such as the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is leading in the Indian stock market and second in the race is the largest private sector player, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

According to the data from the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), FII`s had net sales of Rs. 6,166 crore were as domestic institutional investors were holding equity stocks worth Rs.2,989 crore.

The total holding by domestic institutional investors was $ 4 millions and the insurance companies hold 60per cent of the stocks.
