According to a recent survey done by Met Life, one-third of the Indian population never expected that they will retire. According to same survey, the 80 per cent of the total population didn't plan anything for their retirement other than the mandatory Provident Fund which is mandatory by the government.Around 71 per cent of the employee said that they were sure of out-living the retirement fund. Around 35 per cent said that they are mulling upon the concept of retirement planning. Only 20 per cent of the population said that they have planned their retirement properly.
