New model cars have not seen any dent in sales
despite the high interest rates for car loans, says media reports. For instance,
the sales of Maruti SX4 which was launched in May 2007 is said to have upped the
growth of the company over 17 per cent.
Honda's Civic and General Motors models like
Chevrolet Spark and Aveo U-VA are also recording the highest growth in terms of
percentage. Mahindra Renault's Logan notched around 2, 800 units per
month.
However, industry analysts claim that
bread-and-butter models have not being doing well in this
scenario.
