Date : 3 Mar, 2009 Question I am looking to buy a 5 year old chevy optra car for 4 lakhs. I can make a downpayment of 1.5 Lakhs. so lOan amount :2.5 lakhs Age:34 Tenure : 1 year ( i want to pay it off as soon as I can) salaried have no problem in paying 25000 p.m for car loan. when i was finding the used car loan rates in your site, the lowest I got was for 12.75% from Dena bank EMI : 22300 When i did search for Personal loan, best rate was 13.5 from Allahabad bank EMI : 22388 With Car loan, bank's name comes to RC book (too much paper work) With personal loan (just 88Rs more per month) I feel it is less hassle. My question is what should I go for? Does paying off car loan help my credit history any way. I am thinking of taking a house loan next year.. Appreciate ur response Answer Your best bet is to take a used car loan. You can get a used car loan based on your income, repayment track record and how old is the car is. You might not get the amount that you want and at the same interest rate if you take a personal loan. You can pay off the car loan as and when you want but when you take a home loan your car loan will have an impact on your home loan amount. You can apply for a used car loan on apnaloan where multiple banks compete for your loan. |
