Date : 21 May, 2009 Question Sir I intend to buy a car which is costing me arround 9,00,000/- Rs . I have Rs 1,00,000/- with me and also My organization where I work, gives me an intrest free loan of 4,00,000/- Rupees and also they dont possess any right on the Car registry. So now for the remaining 4,00,000/- I already have a car loan sanctioned from Bank of Baroda. But the bank is not willing to disburse the loan. Concern.: Bank of Baroda say me to deposit the margin money of 5,00,000/- rupees in my saving bank account with them and they will create a Final DD of complete amount favoring the Car dealer. However My company policy says that they will only and only issue a DD against the Car Dealer name and not in my name. Why should I submit the money to the bank which I am not lending from them. I am lending only 4,00,000/- from them and they can get the HP done on the car registry against that loan amount. Please suggest me what can be done here. Can I Escalate this matter somewhere ? Answer The bank will finance only a certain percent of the car price the rest you will have to pay as down payment which the bank is asking for. The bank will make the payment directly to the dealer and not to you. |
