Date : 10 Dec, 2008 Question Hi, I had applied for an ICICI Bank credit card. Before I recieve it, I moved to a different company and different city. Untill then I was not aware whether the card was issued to me or not. Suddenly the ICICI collection agents started visiting my parents, upon checking with them, they said one card was issued to me and there has been some transactions also against that card. On further probing, I came to know that card was delivered to some other person by courier company. he used that card and the bills were coming to me. Now since neither I recieved this card nor used it so there is no question of repaying it. Now bank has put my name in cibil defaulter list. When I checked withthe bank they agreed that it was a mistake from courier company but since the card was in my name, I am liable topay the dues. Please advice me on this issue. thanks, Prateek Answer Kindly make a complaint on a bank's website.
