Date : 8 Jun, 2009 Question Hello Mr. Rungta, I am using credit card of HSBC. Its outstanding has reached to Rs. 36000 todays date. Someone has suggestd me to settle down the amount, and bank also ready to settle it for Rs. 22000 Please let me know the issues with settlement of credit cards. Will i be able to take any type of loan from any bank in the future? Can i pay the remaining amount(14000) after 2-3 years if i face any problem in getting loan? Answer When there is settlement of account it is considered as a default.Your
default stays on the credit bureau's record for 7 years so you will
always face an issue in getting a loan even after clearing off your
