The Tata Group is offering a 'come-back' chance to women who have discontinued pursuing their careers due to various reasons.
It has launched the Tata Second Career Internship Programme (SCIP) and the portal received 5,500 hits and 500 resumes on the very first day of its launch.
The Tata group will provide live business projects which will need 500 hours of work. The working hours will be spread across 5 to 6 months on a flexi-time basis.
These professionals will get a fee up to Rs. 4 lakh for the entire project.
Being a part of this project does not guarantee a job upon project-completion, though options may be open at mutually acceptable terms.
The group has projects from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Titan, Tata Teleservices and Tata Chemicals. The projects will be offered in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune.
All the selected candidates will attend a five-day management training programme designed by the Tata Management Training Centre, Pune.
