Vitthal Uddhyognagar, a 750-member industrial association is set to come up with its own Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to tide over talent crisis.
The decision was made to meet the skilled manpower shortage due to the higher industrial growth in the industrial estate located in Vallabh Vidhyanagar near Anand.
The syllabus will be based on the requirements of the industries, including the development of new courses for future requirements.
Reportedly, the donations for the projects have started pouring in from the likes of Elecon Engineering.
The institution will be set up over the 9,000 square feet of land in Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC).
Vitthal Uddhyognagar has signed an agreement with Birla Vishwkarma Mahavidhyalaya, GH Patel college of engineering and technology and Changa University for provisioning to provide training to the students of the institutions as well as for product development, R&D and design analysis.
