sir, I am salaried and my wife is housewife and i am planning to buy a appartment in joint name with my with wife but want to have 100% tax benefit for me only since my wife is housewife.so can i apply for home loan individually and property can be joint?pls suggest .

Answer

A property coowner has to be a co-borrower to the loan. You can still claim 100% tax benefit on a joint loan. You can enter into a share agreement with your wife to claim 100% tax benefit. A draft of the share agreement is available on Apnapaisa.
