Date : 11 Dec, 2008 Question i want to ask that about two year earlier goverment has passed the bill that a person who is 55 year or above is eligible for taking a loan on his own property and if the person died with in the period of payment of whole installment which is given by respective bank then payment of rest of installment will be transferred to the his son and if his son not able to pay rest of the installment with in certain period of time (time period which is specified by the respective bank) the property will be undertaken by the respective bank. sir i want to know whether this scheme is still exist in banks and if there are banks which provide loan on such scheme please mentioned the name of those banks Answer You seem to be referring to reverse mortgage, a loan agaisnt property available to senior citizens.
