Date : 23 Feb, 2009 Question Hi I am unemployed from Bangalore aged 42 years. I have property which has current market value of 60 lacs. The property which is an apartment was taken in 2004 by taking loan from ICICI. Current principle outstanding is 16 lacs. I am having Capital protected non-convertible Equity Linked debenture value 25 lacs which will mature in Oct'10. That product is index linked debenture and nifty already crossed 130% in Apr'08, so I will get 7.5 lacs on top of 25 lacs in Oct'10. I am in need of money to run my family till I get money from debenture. Is it possible to get loan against that property. I will very much appreciate, if you can suggest some method Answer You can only get a loan against freehold residential or commercial property. You can also raise a loan against security such as life insurance policy with high surrender value, jewellery etc. |
