What are the medical check-ups that we need to undergo? Who bears the cost?

There are several tests that an individual seeking insurance are required to undergo as a part of the medical check-up. Read to find out more.

For those above the age of 45 years, a medical check-up is compulsory. Insurers also specify compulsory health checks if the sum assured under the health insurance plan is high.

Some or all of the following tests are required:

  • Complete Blood Count Report
  • ECG
  • ESR
  • Fasting Blood Sugar
  • Medical Examination with BP recordings
  • Post Blood Sugar
  • Serum Creatinine
  • SGPT
  • Urine Routine Report

All costs for the medical tests for the insurance are borne by the insurer.
