Date : Oct 28, 2008 Question Hello sir, I am a salaried person in India. Right now, I am in the USA for a 8 months assignment and will be back in January. Before coming here, I have booked a car with a dealer in Trivandrum. As there was a delay in delivery of the vehicle, I thought of applying for the loan when the car is available. Now that I am here and the car is available, can any bank let me to apply for the loan through anyone (say my father)? I can send him an authorization letter for this. I can arrange for all necessary documents like my salary certificate etc. for applying the loan. My father is a retired person above 65 with no income. I approached 2 banks, they say I have to sign the papers in person. Is there any way I can apply for the loan? Thanks Arun Answer You can apply for a car loan jointly with your father but your father will have to show documented proof of income. For you to apply for the loan individually you will have to personally sign the documents. You can apply for a car loan on apnaloan where multiple banks compete for your loan. |
