Bankers are of opinion that interest rates are unlikely to rise further and said that the inflation level as well as select lending rates may decrease over the next 2-3-months.
According to media reports, the inflation will certainly come down in the short term, in the next 2-3 months.
While most bankers agree that there will be stability in interest rates, they do not foresee a reduction in interest rates for home loans.
Bankers said the fiscal and monetary measures initiated by policymakers to contain inflation, such as a 0.75 per cent hike in CRR, ban on export of certain essential commodities and removal of import duties will show results within 2-3 months.
